Project overview

One of the great things about our job is the variety of work that crosses our desk. On any given day, we could be designing a bottle label for a gin distillery, a newspaper ad for a credit union and a new logo for a solicitors’ practice.

This next project involved a new website and brand identity for the Irish Association of Physicists in Medicine (IAPM). They represent medical physicists working in healthcare, industry and academia in Ireland. We were introduced to them by a mutual contact.

We had a lot of fun with this project, learning all about medical physics and the various applications. It’s a lot more practical than you first think. Likewise, the people we dealt with were very approachable and professional. They knew what they wanted but were open to new ideas.

NEW WEBSITE

The website was no easy feat, due mainly to the member area which they wanted to integrate. A private login section, it allows members to edit their profile, pay their subscription, apply for a travel bursary, access a document repository etc. We also had to build an application form for new members which needed to sync with the back end and trigger a series of responses.

Once the website was completed, we had to make the transition from old to new as seamless as possible by facilitating the smooth transfer of content (including member details) and scheduling emails with clear and concise instructions. Thankfully, we were dealing with a client whose profession is based on minute detail, and who was more than capable of doing what was needed.
