Limerick Services
At the heart of this project was an online directory that people could search by service category, location and target age. We spent quite a bit of time with the client scoping and populating an Excel spreadsheet of all the support services in the Limerick area. Once completed, we imported it into WordPress and used it as the basis of the new website.
Our main objective was to make it as easy possible for people to find what they’re looking for. That’s why we used lots of dropdown options, simple instructions, colour and images. We also did our best to simplify the language and reduce the number of acronyms and abbreviations. We wanted the website to feel like a calming and reassuring place to be.
The hardest part was nailing down the database, making sure it contained the right information, and could be easily managed by the central website administrator and the individual service providers. In fact, each service provider was given access to their page/profile on the website which they could update themselves, when required.
As well as the main service directory, the website also contains other information such as details about upcoming courses, events or workshops for parents and a resources page. The client was delighted with the finished product and the website was officially launched at an event in Thomand Park in Limerick.
In the client's own words
We commissioned Passion to create a website for us. It was a tight deadline with specific asks. Passion were extremely responsive, displayed a strong understanding of the brief and delivered the project on time. They had a good structure around communication. We were very happy with the final product and would happily recommend them to any potential clients.
