Natural Health Store

Project overview

The Natural Health Store is a family-run health store in the heart of Wexford’s busy Main Street. The family has worked in the retail sector since their early teens, giving them a great deal of customer experience. A redundancy and changes in the work environment led them to open their own store in 2013, a move which was both scary and very exciting.

As a health store, they are not afraid to stock new products. They go out of their way to find top quality products that are not over-priced. The net result is a wide range of natural cosmetics, supplements, whole foods, homeopathic products, herbal remedies, flower essences, eco-friendly household products, allergy care products and gifts.

We met them through a mutual contact when they were setting up and have since then have worked with them as they need us. The thing we like most about The Natural Health Store is that the genuine passion and interest they share as a family. It’s heart-warming and positively infectious.

The first thing we had to do was create a brand identity. The name ‘Natural Health Store’ was already in place but they needed a tagline and logo. We came up with the words ‘Feel good on the inside’ which we felt best captured their brand essence.

As for the logo, we took our inspiration from Michael Angelo’s ‘Vitruvian Man’ which we thought would be very fitting given it simplicity, symmetry and focus on the human body. Surrounding him with leaves and petals created an aura of vitality and strength, which are just are the characteristics we wanted.

The overall effect made them look very professional and well established. In fact, the logo wouldn’t be out of place on any high street, among larger brands and retail chains such as Boots and Holland & Barratt.
