Project overview

Abbeylands Furniture is a trade supplier of soft furnishings such as cushions, curtains and fabrics. Based in Navan, Co. Meath, they supply private label goods to retail multiples across Ireland and the UK. They also supply bespoke products to furniture manufacturers, hotel and leisure contractors as well as exclusively designed brands such as Scatter Box, Emily McGuinness and Scatter Bag to independent retailers.

We met them at a networking event a few years ago and kept in touch, so when the need arose to rebuild their website, they asked if we would work with them to complete the task. This was one of the biggest websites we’ve built in recent times and required a great deal of planning, design and development. Thankfully, it all worked out for the best and the client was delighted with the finished result.

Apart altogether from the technical build, there was lot of work that had to be done on the brand architecture and product positioning. It was important that when people landed on the website and clicked the brands tab that they knew immediately where to go. This we achieved by colour coding each of the main sections (Scatter Box, Emily McGuinness, Scatter Bag etc.) and standardising the brand colours within. It was an effect that worked very well and helps people to navigate through the site.
