Edge-Away

Project overview

The Edge-Away Smart Choices Young Voices Weapons Awareness Programme was developed over a two-year period by a passionate team committed to promoting community safety and supporting young people to make informed choices. Funded through the Community Safety Innovation Fund and supported by Healthy Ireland, the Probation Service, Chéim ar Chéim, Moyross Youth Academy and Limerick Children & Young People’s Services Committee, the programme works directly with young people involved in Youth Diversion and Probation Services across Limerick, Clare and Tipperary.

At its heart, Edge-Away is a trauma-informed, youth-centred programme designed around the lived experiences, ideas and voices of young people. Through workshops, discussions and interactive learning, participants explore decision-making, conflict, peer influence, personal safety and the consequences of weapon carrying.

We were proud to support this initiative by developing the Edge-Away visual identity, programme manual, website and promotional materials, helping create a professional and engaging platform for the programme as it continues to grow.

Brand Identity

Why was branding important?

A new programme deserved a strong and recognisable identity.
The branding needed to:

  •  Reflect the voices of young people
  • Feel approachable, modern and engaging
  • Build trust with professionals, youth services and communities
  • Create consistency across training, resources and communications

What we set out to do

  • Develop a memorable Edge-Away brand identity
  • Create accessible and engaging communications
  • Design resources that support programme delivery
  • Build a professional online presence through a dedicated website

Bringing the programme to life

Working closely with the Edge-Away team, we developed a complete suite of creative materials including:

  • Brand identity and logo
  • Programme manual and participant resources

In the client's own words

It has been a pleasure to work with the team at Passion for Creative for nearly 2 years. The team worked closely with our youth Justice workers, project researcher, young people and board members to help design programme materials, a manual and website design. All of our thoughts, ideas and concerns were looked after. Including the many adjustments and changes along the way. Thanks a mill everyone, best of luck on future projects!!
