Oak Conflict Dynamics

Project overview

OAK Conflict Dynamics provide managers with effective conflict management skills that identify the root causes of conflict and achieve positive outcomes. And they’re very good at it! We had worked with one of the directors on a previous project so we were familiar with the industry and the issues involved.

Anyhow, they approached us a few months ago and asked if we would design them a new website and brand identity. We like passionate people and interesting ideas, so we readily agreed. The key to this project was how to simplify complex messages and communicate them in such a way that would engage people.

It was a hugely enjoyable exercise, made all the more rewarding because the client fully participated in the process and was open to our ideas and suggestions.

The colours were chosen to be bright and colourful. The subject matter was a serious but potentially off putting one. We wanted to get people engaged, hence the use of playful cartoon characters instead of bland stock photography. We didn’t want it to be a corporate looking website with boring facts and figures. We wanted to bring it to life by using quirky, un-business like images and short, snappy paragraphs in well designed and clearly laid out panels. We put all the important information on the home page so that people could read it all in one go, and if interested, they could click the links or top tabs to learn more.
