Waterford GP Care

Project overview

Waterford GP Care is a general medical practice based in Waterford city centre. Headed up by Dr Darach Brennan, Dr Annaliese O’Sullivan and Dr Mairead Brennan, they provide a wide range of GP services to the local community. The practice is known for its caring manner and experienced team of doctors, nurses and support staff. It is also a GP training practice and upholds high standards of quality and person-centred care. When they first approached us, they were called Johnstown Medical Centre and had no logo, no website, no real identity. They asked if we could help them so that’s we did.

As mentioned above, they were originally called Johnstown Medical Centre (after the area in which they were located – Johnstown). Following a brainstorm and some reflection, we all agreed that a new name was required. They wanted something more aligned to Waterford than Johnstown as a relocation to another part of the city was on the cards. Also, they wanted a name that was Google friendly and where the domain was available. After much debate, we settled on ‘Waterford GP Care’ as it gave them the specificity and flexibility they needed. As for the logo design, they wanted a tree icon to symbolise growth, family and being rooted in the community. It also serves as a good metaphor for their GP training programme. The brightly coloured leaves gave us a vibrant colour scheme we could use in the brand style guide and across all their marketing collateral, starting with the website.

Choosing Passion for Creative to design our new website was a great decision. They did an excellent job! From initial contact to website completion, they were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. The after-sales service has also been excellent. The service is fantastic and they are always available to help with any queries we may have. I would highly recommend Passion for Creative for your website needs.
