Act Belong Commit

Project overview

Act Belong Commit (ABC) is a mental health and wellbeing promotion campaign that supports young people to stay mentally healthy. The campaign originated in Western Australia by researchers at Curtain University, based on strong evidence from mental health promotion and public health. It has a proven evidence base of effectiveness and is now used internationally.

We were asked by the Coordinator of the Children & Young People’s Services Committee in Kilkenny to design the ABC website for Ireland. It was a privilege to be involved in such a worthwhile campaign and engage with the young people in the co-design process. Mental health is such an important topic so it was great to be a part of it.

New Website

Our main task on this project was to create a new website. The logo was largely designed by the young people themselves so we had a head start with the graphic reference and colour palette. Of course we still had to design, build and populate all the pages. A key feature of the website was the online quiz which took a lot of planning and coding.

The website was launched at a public event and received a lot of praise from other CYPSC’s around the country. A combination of colourful design and clear navigation make it a very accessible and impactful website. It’s built in WordPress so the client can update it themselves – quickly and easily. It’s also very scalable and future proof.

In the client's own words

Kilkenny CYPSC have had the pleasure of working with Passion for Creative across a number of projects, most recently on the development of our Act Belong Commit campaign website. From start to finish, their professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail were exceptional. They were incredibly accommodating and patient through the process, always taking the time to understand our vision and adapt to our needs. Their ability to translate ideas into clear, engaging, and user-friendly design made a real difference to the outcome. What stood out most was their collaborative approach – nothing was ever a problem, and they consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was delivered to a high standard.
