Project overview

Magic Hill Holidays is a specialised holiday provider with an emphasis on responsible travel. Using their local knowledge in different countries, its founders have developed a series of personalised cultural and educational packages for people in search of an alternative holiday.

The tagline – Travel beyond Tourism – says it all. They believe the best way to experience a country is to distance yourself from being a tourist and spend time with the people, immerse yourself in their culture and see first-hand how they live. They work with local communities throughout the world to bring this concept to life for travellers who are curious, open-minded and want to experience the real world.

Its founders – Victor and Bronagh – got in touch with us through a mutual friend and asked if we would design their logo and website. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with these guys and we wish them every success as they embark on the next phase of their business adventure.

The first thing you notice when you land on the home page is the video. It really draws you in and makes you want to book a holiday straight away. That’s the idea anyway, and we think it delivers. The next thing you notice are the featured packages, which we helped them to curate and present in a way that holidaymakers would understand.

The website is fully ecommerce enabled which means people can look through the packages, select the one they want, book it online and then pay for it via Stripe. We wanted to make it as easy and enjoyable as possible, with enough information, but not too much. The whole experience is customer focused and very seamless.
