WSTCYS

Project overview

Waterford and South Tipperary Community Youth Service (WSTCYS) caters for the needs of young people and local communities, particularly those experiencing marginalisation, disadvantage and social exclusion. It enables young people to become free active human beings who take responsibility for their lives and participate fully in the development of their community, environment and society. It also empowers young people to recognise inequalities in society and to work together to effect change.

We clicked with them the first time we met. We’ve been involved in several community projects over the years, so we understand the issues that young people face. We also know how amazing and resourceful they can be, so when WSTCYS asked if we’d help them with their branding and website, we didn’t have to think twice. We were delighted to get involved and share our expertise. We met some great young people along the way and some very passionate committed staff members.

New Website

The website was a biggie – lots of pages (and sections within pages). The trickiest part was figuring out how best to structure the services so that people landing on the website could find the one they wanted and in their nearest location. We also had to build it in such a way that each service team could update their own page, without having to contact us or a central administrator, and without ‘trespassing’ on other pages. We managed to do it all through WordPress with the help of some plugins where needed.

In the client's own words

Working with Passion for Creative has been a hugely positive experience. They took the time to get to know us. From this they were able to capture the essence of our organisation and translate it into a well-constructed and vibrant website. They helped us tremendously by developing our brand and creating a consistent message that we are very proud of. They were very pleasant to deal with and delivered a professional service. We look forward to continuing working with them and going from strength to strength.
