Vicky Phelan Portrait

Project overview

Vicky Phelan is a prominent women’s health advocate and cancer patient. The Triptych Portrait was painted by Irish artist Vincent Devine who was inspired by Vicky’s incredible courage. It was purchased at a charity auction by Vicky’s lifelong friend and fellow Kilkenny native David Brennan. David approached us to design a website to showcase the portrait. The vision was to continue Vicky’s legacy, educate people about cervical cancer and raise funds for charity.

The website was designed to look like an art gallery with a crisp white background and minimal embellishment. We wanted the portrait to take centre stage with minimal distraction. It’s such a beautiful piece of work that it didn’t need any enhancement. The website is largely informational with simple text pages and social media links. There was no requirement for an ecommerce platform, just a brochureware website with an invitation to get involved.
