Project overview

Hosting Ireland has been providing domain registration and hosting services to small and large businesses in Ireland for over 15 years. And they’re very good at it. In fact, they’re one of the biggest and best in Ireland. They are fully ICANN Accredited and an Accredited Registrar for .ie and .eu domain names and a Channel Partner for .uk and .co.uk domain names.

They asked us to design a new logo and new pages for their website. Their previous logo was well past its sell by date and in need of a revamp. As for the website, it was performing well in Google but many of the pages were lacking proper design and the home page in particular was in need of a new look and overarching theme.

It may seem strange that a company which specialises in website hosting would need help with their website design. It’s not that unusual though. We work with a lot of Internet companies who are really good at the back-end technical stuff but need help with the front-end design stuff. They are two very different skill sets.

And so we re-designed not only their home page but many of the underlying pages to give the site a better structure and renewed vigour. After we were finished, the site was more user-friendly and better aligned with the customer journey.
