They asked us to refresh their logo, but not to radically alter it. They still liked the familiarity and charm of their old logo; they just wanted to modernise it a small bit. After all, they are a traditional, award-winning, family-owned hotel. It didn’t make sense to completely re-design it or do anything drastic. It just needed a bit of refreshment and refinement.
Importantly, we also prepared a comprehensive brand style guide outlining the correct fonts and colour palette. We designed templates for all their business cards, letterheads, compliment slips, email signatures, menus, signage etc. They were delighted with the new brand guidelines result because they finally had a ‘rule book’ they could follow, which is very important when you have lots of staff and suppliers.
