They liked the charm and familiarity of their old logo. It was part of their historic identity. With that in mind, it didn’t make sense to completely re-design or transform it. The logo just needed some modernisation to make it more contemporary and media friendly, which we did.
More importantly, we prepared a Brand Bible or Style Guide in which we outlined the correct usage of their logo, the specific fonts, colour palette and file formats. We designed templates for all their frequently used items like business cards, letterheads, PowerPoint presentations, menus, signage etc.
They were delighted with the finished result because they finally had a ‘rule book’ they could follow to maintain the integrity of their brand and ensure consistency across their various functions and external parties.
