Touching Hearts
The most important part of this project was the website. It had to resonate with people. It had to make them want to donate. The way we did it was to introduce lots of colour, imagery and playful typography. The children became the heroes of the website; their personal stories occupying centre stage. The objective throughout was the fundraising initiative, where people were encouraged to donate online.
A key element of the new website was a virtual tour we created of the new building in the form of an animated video starring some of the children whose stories we recounted. The video, which we designed and built from scratch, was an effective way of introducing the new centre because it was from a first person perspective. People are more likely to relate to something if they hear it directly from those affected.
