Ballyfermot Inchicore Credit Union

Project overview

Ballyfermot Inchicore Credit Union has over 16,000 members. It serves the citizens of Dublin 8 and Dublin 10. We met their CEO at a credit union conference where we presented a workshop on marketing. A short time later she contacted us and asked if we could give their branding and marketing a fresh push. It coincided with the start of Covid so it was doubly important for them to get out there with a positive message and reassure people in the community that they were open for business (as an essential service) and ready to lend.

Because time was of the essence (due to Covid), and because we had a direct line to the CEO (who trusted us), we were able to cut to the chase. We proposed the tagline and marketing theme ‘Lending for Life’. We thought it captured their identity and mission which we worded as follows:

Ballyfermot & Inchicore Credit Union is with you for life, every step of the way. Whenever you’ve additional expenses or an investment to make, we’re there to support you and give you the finance you need. Whenever you take out a loan with us, you’re borrowing from people who know and understand you.
