Cahir Credit Union

Project overview

Cahir Credit Union is long established community credit union. We knew their CEO from her previous role in another credit union, so when the opportunity arose to work with her again, we were delighted to do so.

They wanted to revamp their branding and marketing (logo, signage, advertising – everything from the bottom up). It was music to our ears as we love coming up with new ideas using our tried and tested methodology. It helped that we had a prior relationship with the main contact and that her colleagues trusted us enough to get on with the job and make it happen.

Following an initial brainstorm (brand review) with the board of directors and management team, we came up with a Big Idea (brand story) called ‘We Care About You’. While very obviously a play on words (‘care’ rhymes with ‘Cahir’), it also summed up very succinctly what they are all about (they genuinely care about their members). It was a perfect campaign theme and one we knew could work very well, across all channels – online and offline.

In tandem with the new brand story, we designed a new brand identity. While we stayed with the same general colour scheme as before, we gave it a completely new look and feel, even managing to weave a heart shape into the letter A to tie in with the brand story (‘We Care About You’). The end result was a modern and contemporary design that gave the brand image a significant refresh and made them feel young again.

In the client's own words

Passion Creative are great to work with as they listen and guide us with their marketing expertise. They helped us design our new logo along with some loan campaigns. They are a good addition to our Credit Union as marketing was an area that we needed to develop. We look forward to continue working with them in the future.
